Cool Archive
Here's a well-designed free fonts resource (which offers much else, as well). Cool Archive serves up over 800 fonts, for use with both PCs and Macs. They're listed alphabetically; you may preview them and then download the ones you want as compressed Zip files. Cool Archive also offers free graphics and more.

Jason Nolan's site is a treasure trove for those in search of the latest and most eye-catching free fonts on the Web. Here, you'll find a strong collection of freeware fonts and dingbats. All the fonts featured here are listed with the creators' permission, so you won't find any fonts of dubious origin. Unlike many font collections on the Web, here you'll find links to the sites where each font 

FontFace
FontFace is must-visit site for anyone in search of the latest and greatest free fonts on the Web. Often imitated, but never equalled, this pioneering site is home of the original "Font of the Day," which shows you, at a glance, what the Web's hottest new fonts are. Font guru Steve Young offers an excellent collection of fonts and font resources, as well as a very helpful FAQ section. Note: FontFace offers Mac fonts, as well. 

Acid Fonts
Plenty of free fonts here, organized alphabetically, at this well-designed site. Fonts are in ZIP compressed form for faster download. Each page on the site shows a graphical representation of each font. Be sure to check out the cool "Sci-Fi" fonts, which features such eye-grabbers as "Babylon 5," "Klingon Blade," "Star Trek," and "Tron." The site is updated monthly. 

The High Site
A well-designed new free fonts site that offers over 1,000 selections. Fonts are organized alphabetically and you may preview each selection before downloading it. The site also offers a roundup of programs that let you create your own fonts.
